Caller: Financial Investigation Department 2 separate numbers from different companies -UK and switzerland. Didn't introduce themselves and wouldnt give me any details. Got really agressive and tried to tell me not to talk over them. The department does not exist or have a website. Tried to tell me I'd invested $350 in some company overseas. Theyre clearly using a leaked phone list with first names, numbers but no email address.

Caller: Financial Department Came up as a Canberra number - Hard to hear, but it was a female, indian, telling me she was from the financial department - couldn't make out what she was saying, mostly due to poor mobile reception. She called me Mr 'First Name', so highly professional. But, then again, it's a public holiday in Canberra today, so she must be a dedicated public servant to be at work. Scam. Block.

Caller: Supposedly someone from Amazon Had a call from this number. They said that I had ordered an iPhone on Amazon, when I said I hadn't they said open google and type in this address and I will show you who ordered the phone and where they are from. I logged into my Amazon account and there were no orders in the past 3 months. They hung up quickly when I told them that.

Caller: Someone purporting to be from Ebay Someone calling themselves John rang from this number claiming to be from Ebay. I asked John for his surname, then said I would ring Ebay to verify that he belongs to the company. Predictably he hung up.
