They should be prosecuted, criminals. nobody is doing anything about it. where is the law??

scam phone call caller was automated message claiming criminal prosecution. when number called back asian male said he was ATO I have spoke to the ATO and they have no record of the caller and number is not an ATO number. Definitely a scam please beware...

Got 2 msgs left on my phone similar ATO going to prosecute me knowing that I had a call from my tax agent saying I had overpaid tax last year due to an error I am glad I had the sense to know it was a complete scam!!!!!

Same thing with the ATO.
They almost had me... but when I decided to 'take it to court' they hung up on me.

Left a message saying they were going to prosecute me and last warning etc. Glad I checked here first. Thank you to those who have put up the information. Guessed the ATO would make contact in a more direct manner.

They identify themselves as working for fraud investigation of ATO. They are trying to get personal information.

The call you telling you have a tax debt that you need to pay now.

I called back number (02) 6188 6081 rang 3 times then goes to busy tone.
