Recorded message, something about the ATO. It's a scam.

Recorded message something like this: claiming to come from ATO accusing me of tax fraud. I hang up before hearing the full recording.

Didn’t answer but left a voicemail, something about owing $199 and if i were not to respond they were taking it out immediately.

Caller: Fake ATO

Another Indian scammer pretenting to be from the tax office this week. Makes a nice change from the Chinese.

Caller: Indian accent

Message from this number had been left saying they were checking a $249.99 ebay purchase. I rang the number back and was told someone in China had accessed my ebay account this morning using this phone number to buy something worth $249.99. As it originated outside of Australia they were alerting me. Wanted me to act there and then to stop the payment otherwise I would be charged the full amount. Sounded like a scam.

It's a SCAM - hang up and do not give details

Caller: Fake eBay

Automated message claiming somebody had tried to spend $249 on my ebay account, and to have it refunded to call this number. of course, I searched the number and this listing came up.

Clearly a scam, block and move on.

Caller: Some one claiming they were from the ATO

An indian man claiming he was from the ATO - he is a scammer and i told him I was reporting him

Left a voicemail about Tax return & apparent incorrect info that need to be rectified. The threatening tone & slight foreign accent gave it away as a scam easily.
