Why are these fu*&%rs allowed to continue? We are getting a barrage of these texts and calls from many different numbers- no doubt the same sh*t people! They should be deported!

Caller: Scammer

Fake warrant out for my fake arrest. These clowns are calling from mobiles using spoof landlines. Also using spoof numbers (02) 8003 7119 & (03) 9015 9738.

Caller: “ATO” supposedly

Rang from this number. I didn’t answer but a prerecorded message was left stating it was the ATO and a lien is on my account for tax “avoidasion” and that paperwork was sent to me but returned unsigned and a warrant for arrest would be issued. (02) 8003 7119 was left as the number to call back. I Knew obviously immediately it was a scam but confirmed with the ATO it definitely was as they do not leave pre-recorded messages at any stage.

When I called the number back an Indian man answered the phone with “ATO” not “good afternoon, my name is ?, can I help you?”. I hung up immediately and reported this to the actual ATO. Did not give any details at any time. Have now blocked.

Claiming to be from the Taxation office. I hung up. I don't think that the ATO contacts individuals.
