As above on 9/10 saying from ATO taking legal action if payment not made within 45 mins

This scammer called giving ATO file number AU007269 saying that I was owing $4300 between 2009 and 2015. He said stop talking while he kept saying that the ATO will confiscate my house, car and personal items to recover debts. If not the Federal Police will come and arrest me. He gave his name as James Campbell with American accent. When I tried calling this number back there is no answer.

Police need to arrest and prosecute this scammer.

Had a call from this number saying that he is calling from ATO and wanted solicitor contact details.

I received the call from them today. He sounds very genuine and talk lot of jargons. He also said don't hang your call otherwise you will be in trouble. His name was Daniel and said he got all my details. He also said if I don't pay the money they will issue a arrest warrant against me.

"yes, just had a call from this number. he was threatening me with the same. he said his name was Steve Marshall". I could not make out his accent other than he sounded like an Asian speaking English well for some time".

I got call from this number at 9:51am on 16/0/2015.he said from ATO office and his name alen. he even have my home address where he said sent two letter about money I am owing to ATO. he will file the case in court in an hour if he didn't receive the funds. try to call back no answer. when some one or police going to do something about these scammers.

also had a call saying he was from treasury. Told him he should be ashamed of himself and to stop terrorising the frail and elderly. These guys are creating terror among the elderly and the Gov't should put a bit of the deradicalisation money into catching these bastards. Who knows it could be recruiters raising money for ISIS. I called back and the guy actually answered. Surely someone can track the bastard down and arrest him????? This guy acts so confidently he's obviously an old hand at scams and the number indicated he lives in Aussie.

Same here called me and scared the hell out of me. I am 2 months pregnant and it was so bad for me to go through this stress. Almost transferred them the money but my husband ended up finding out through here. Do not answer this call and complain to ATO. They scare you very badly saying Police will come now and arrest you ATO will never cal l you like this.

Same idiot again proclaiming himself as ato officer. I have already given his details to ATO and they will be soon tracking him down. but be carefull about this number

Be aware of this fraudster; says do not hand up on him or local police will call. When asked for details he had none but says he is from ATO. Please ask him a question like your accountant details and he hangs up.
