claiming to be ATO so when I said no your not and abused him he hung up

they call my direct line at work all the time, annoying.

Now they are getting cheeky leaving a remote voice message in a VERY American voice... they give a weird phone number and ask me to call them back as the police are on my doorstep almost...

to anyone elderly this would be enough to give them a heart attack. THE ATO will never call you and threaten you.

Threatened police action from some sort of office in a missed call SMS 😫 When I googled it I found it's a scam of sorts!!! a**holes should be sent to prison for this type of blackmail n threats like that!!!!

Rang back & abused Indian scammer. No response.

Pre-recorded voice threatening some action ATO call number lawyer etc. I was on mygov earlier so I this is utter scam.

These calls are ridiculous. Second one in two days. Recorded voice message about the ATO and police on my doorstep. It's so poorly executed, they don't even repeat the phone number. I was no where near a pen and paper, so even if I was thick as two bricks and wanted to call them back, I couldn't have got the number down. Not a very effective scam. American accent isn't helping the cause there, either.
