It is a new number being used by the scammers saying they are the ATO and you are the subject of an investigation

Got call

I have received 9 calls from this number in the last three days with the same automated messages saying it James Anderson from the ATO. It is a scam. I don't know why I bother having a private number as scammers still get my number anyway!!

It is a scam, Caller with accent calls himself James Anderson and claims to be from the Tax Office.
Tax Office will send out letters NOT cold call you

Scam, message left on my M bank, called the number, female answered as Tax Evasion Section- realised it was a scam and hung up.

Received a call today. Automated voice saying this is James Anderson from the ATO re my tax and to call him back..........whatever

IT IS A SCAM. They knew everything about me. And cost me $6000.

Scam pretending to be ATO

Claim they are from ATO.
Just called Real ATO scam number hot line to see if I had anything outstanding and I do not.
Don't call this number back.

Also had a message informing me that I am the subject of an investigation initiated by ATO.
