Just received the same scam call from this number.

ATO Scammers on a Saturday , April fools! ATO not usually open on a Saturday too

left a voice message about legal consequences then wished me luck!

Call received 31/03/17. Gives the name Kevin Sosa, from the ATO accusing me of tax evasion and fraud. Will freeze banks accounts, seize passport, suggests engaging a lawyer.

I just contacted the ATO and this is definitely a scam

Told it was the ATO, but they told me where I lived, but it turns out haven't lived there for years and of course the real ATO would know that as I put in a tax return ever year.

This is definitely a scam!!! A call centre overseas who is available to scam your money advising you they are from the Australian Taxation dept. I rang back the number just to advise the "ATO Officer Doug", the he was an arsehole of biblical proportions. I asked him why he thought that scamming people was in anyway a good thing. He said it was to make money for himself. I said, I hope you die a painful death!!

SCAM - abusive phone call say their from ATO DEMANDING payment

Dumb ass scam with ATO . since when would they ring you and not notify you with a formal letter with correct contact details for the ATO .

SCAM - phone message says there is a loss filed against my name (american female accent that sounds computer generated) and to urgently contact this number.

Automated message in American woman's voice threatening legal action against me and that I must return the call.

A (electronic) woman states that you have to call them back on (02) 6145 0134 or face legal consequences

Asian sounding voice saying there will be a serious legal suit against me if i do not ring the number above, demands that i ring the 'department' that she is calling from but fails to state what/who she works for. It is an electronic recorded voice sounds like google translate!

Scam. Called back this number asian voice said it was the tax office and wanted my name and phone number so he could see how I could be helped. When I refused he hung up.

SCAM - ATO Tax Office Scam
