ATO scam warning

Had a message left on answering machine on 18th September from this number - Jason at Australian Tax Office - threatening a 'Federal lien' and arrest warrant. Tried number today - disconnected.

Keeps Calling not interested please block. I BLOCK but keeps calling hangs up Please BLOCK Annoyingly

Just had a call from this number. Was a missed call and I checked the number and found similar people had some one call from this number and that it is a scam. I have blocked the number.

Just had a call with a voice recording saying from ATO and house is under surveillance!!

Called today 27/04/2017 automated voice call about being sued by the ATO. Known scam. Added to the phone blacklist.

Left automated message that there was an affidavit with my name on it for legal proceedings against me, is a scam, block number

Just had a call from this number, pre-recorded message saying not to disregard the call because I'm under investigation by the ATO, that my house was under surveillance, and that I should call back immediately. Have seen posts on Whocallsme about this same number dating back to 2015...

I also just received this scam ATO message.
This is the third time I have received this phone call, so I know to ignore it now!

ATO SCAM - block them - if you call them - it is a dodgy indian scammer

This is still happening with the same number, can't they do anything about it!

Yes, a scam - affidavit against me and house under surveillance!

Just had this number call me for legal prosecution. I looked up Google and found this and reported it to the ATO. Someone should stop this scammer.

Just yesterday had a missed call from this number. When I called back I spoke to "Xavier King" and was told that I owed the ATO a sum of $2790, and that I should have a Barrister lined up as I would need legal representation. I was at risk of being charged with Tax Evasion and that I could expect a visit from the police in the near future...When I asked why I hadn't been notified by post or email or even through my MyGov account he avoided the question. After hanging up, I called back several times with no answer. I am not sure what the ATO policy is for notifying someone that they are being audited, however this does not seem authentic.

Just had this same one call my mobile. A giveaway is that rather than use my name the automatic speech says "your name".

Best laugh Ive had all day!!!! So obvious a scam but how? They never answer the return call

Same as above .. trying to pretend they were the ATO .. but not even clever enough to get it right.

As soon as I pushed them .. they hung up and ran away.
