Caller: Scammer Fiona who claimed she was from Telstra tech support rang to say our internet service had been hacked and we were downloading malware and wanted me to get on my computer to fix it. I said i would need to confirm she was from Telstra and asked her to provide our account number. She claimed she did not have it but gave me her telstra id no D410037 and asked me to call her back on (03) 9005 7592. So i rang the number she called from and it came up as an invalid no. Then i called the 03 number and it quickly got answered by a john from Telstra. Thats sus in itself to get through to a telstra number in nano seconds instead of many many minutes so i hung up. I messaged Telstra and they advised that they had no employees with that id no and there was nothing noted by telstra on our account that they contacted us.
