received a call from this number, when I called back I got the "your call could not be connected, please check the number and try again - I am not sure how that works but it is obviously a scam or a magic telephone with no connection to a land line??????

Wife got a call on her mobile... Caller told her he was from ACTEWAGL, re about Halogen Down Lights... She told him to get lost...NOT interested !!

got a call today but no message left. called back but the call could not be connected. same number rang me almost exactly 24 hours earlier???

Called me today, said they were from ACTEW AGL - regarding the Green Home Green Planet initiative - replaces your light globes for free? I asked if there was a catch he said no (very unlikely). Guy on phone had an english accent.

I just received a missed call from this number today, and they didn't leave a voicemail message. After reading this forum, I won't be calling back!

From past experience, I do believe this is one of many numbers used by foreign companies/scammers to sell funeral insurance. This number of course is displayed on your mobile (iPhone) and my best advice is don't answer if you see this number, a similar number or any number you are not familiar with. Once you do answer they have you and potentially you will be harassed. I suggest you block the displayed number.

They hung up before I could answer (and I was already holding my phone when it rang). I didn't bother to try calling back after reading this.

2 April caller said they where from GIO and knew wifes name and asked for me by name. When i called back number rang then finally dial tone changed and then said said number was disconnected. Scam for sure.

Auto call .. Could not contact as other complaints have observed.. Have checked and NOT ACTEWAGL...Have blocked the number

4 April 2016 received a call from this number which only rang for a few seconds and then stopped. I didn't call the number back after googling the number and reading the comments.
