Same thing happen to me. but tryed to get me to pay money into a private account so that i could get my so called refund of $3265 and gave address of the atm where I was to deposit the money of $100. BEWARE.

I just received the same telephone call. Thanks Sonia for your post.

I received a call yesterday regarding a tax refund, supposedly from the Aust Tax Office. They gave a reference number and continually repeated the tax refund amount I would be receiving. The caller even said 'congratulations'! He then insisted I immediately call this number 02 610 038 01 to receive my tax refund. I hung up and called my accountant - he confirmed my suspicions. Beware!
