Claims to be from the Tax Office Crime Division, however, no division of that name appears on the ATO website, and the pre-recorded messages is clearly American (it mention attorneys rather than solicitors).

Scam about ATO, they try to tell you that you owe tax then say its going to court if you don't pay, toatl fakes!

This is a scam. A recorded voice claiming to be from John Smith of the Tax Crimes Office urges you to ring the above number. The tone of the message is vaguely threatening. I checked with the ATO they confirmed it as a scam and advised that they are aware of it doing the rounds at the moment. 24/09/15

Got a call from this number and a computer generated voice says they are from the taxation office and I should call this number back. If I don't there will be some kind of legal proceedings taken and wished me good luck. Love to find these scammers and string them up on the nearest tree.
