please close your accounts immediately !!!! Reopen a new account and never ever disclose your account number again to ANYBODY. Tell your bank why you are closing; that way they may not charge you fees (if indeed they do).

Yes, like everybody else on this board, I have been contacted by the same company a few days ago and since then the telephone calls haven't stopped, even when I said I wasn't interested. Today, the Asian girl rang (her English was only so-so but hard to understand) to tell me that I won the second prize: You guessed it $HK 450,000. Apparently, even though I didn't attend their launch, my number (they gave me one yesterday) had come up! The number where winning fax was coming from was an international number, Hong Kong, I suspect (didn't check). Fortunately, my fax machine didn't work.
I asked the girl what information I was required to provide: Just the "usual" address and official identification number - ideal for identity theft. Even though they didn't ask for bank account number, I knew then they were scamming. Now, the only problem will be to get rid of them, probably just hanging up without even replying ...

totally agree to you. I have 100% same story of you. the only different is her name is candy. I even almost truly believe her. thanks to my n-laws that found  this site and let me know that I'm not only the one who been scam on this people.

Thank goodness for google/internet. So many scammers out there and so blatant- don't know how they sleep at night! They will reap what they sow and it won't be money!

Well guess what, I also won second prize of $450,000hk dollars LOL, Nelly was very excited! I teach retail at a Community College and know about these scams so contacted the ACCC by phone yesterday with all the details of these scammers, they are investigating and hopefully will catch the buggers.

Same as you guys, very dodgy 3 question survey, won a MP4 player (of course its never turned up), emailed winning claim form blahhhhh blahhhhh, according to the ACCC the phone would be re-routed to either Hong Kong or another asian country.

Please do not ever give out details of bank accounts or pay money to any of these low toads and let your friends and family know that they are evil scammers. If you are ever in doubt (and always should be suspect) contact consumer affairs in your state or the ACCC, there are scam warnings on their websites as well.
