Auto generated message claiming to be the Tax Office - this is not how the ATO operates. Don't answer, don't return the call. Do absolutely nothing.

Received a call from this number and just as everyone else has stated above, it was a message stating that it was the tax office and a complaint had been made against me for tax avoidance and that I was to return their call, if I ignored it they would take out a warrant for my arrest!

failed to answer the call then he left a msg. claimimg frm ATO adviced me to call back re:tax avoidance issue ,sh*t i was so anxious and having palpitation, contacted my accountant.immediately ,he told me to disregard its a SCAM!!!

Received a missed call from this number. A man with an American-sounding accent left a 49second voicemail claiming they are going to issue a warrant for Tax Avoidance etc. etc. & not to disregard the call. The phone # had 'Albury, NSW' noted under it which is where the ATO are headquartered. Figured it was a SCAM & disregarded it.

Hopefully the ATO are checking the ReverseAustralia website to see all these comments.

Just got this call today from Marcus Crane - Australian Tax Office.
Said they expect fraud on my part and to contact the ATO back immediately as I will be arrested soon.

Voice recording demanding you have failed to pay tax. This is a complete scam, ignore these idiots.

SCAM! Claims to be ATO advising that errors in tax returns have resulted in a tax debt & previous letters they've sent to you have been returned to them, so you now have a warrant out for your arrest. ATO list this as a known scam on their website. If you have your ATO records linked under the MyGov site then you can simply log in there & see your current tax debt (or $0.00 if you don't have one) as well as any messages they've sent you which will appear in your MyGov inbox. Don't be fooled. Block calls from these idiots.
