Caller: Delivery driver for my Woolies groceries

My groceries that I order through Woolies are delivered by a “partner driver” which is Uber. They called me to let me know my groceries were there despite instructions saying to leave them at the door and ring the doorbell (they also missed the part of the driver instructions that said to leave it as close to the door as possible so that it’s in the shade - it is summer after all!)

Went to voicemail "please check your app'' so guessing it was ubereats as we didn't answer when they knocked. We had asked them to leave it at the doorstep. Probably was them to let us know.

I am In Adelaide South Australia but someone from Uber eats called me up from New South Wales the last times I ordered food from them was subway Fulham gardens SA and a Chinese restaurant at hope valley and ages ago in cairns Queensland McDonald’s plus subway Evandale 2022.

Man with an Indian accent said he was from Microsoft.

Says they were calling from Quambone, NSW. I didn't answer as I wasn’t sure who the number was or expecting a phone call.

I haven’t ordered anything was browsing on the app and just sent a link to a friend with my referral code & then received a phone call. I don’t understand or like one bit that my number was shared like that to be calling.

Very weird because plenty of Uber drivers have never had issues coming to my address as it’s suburban and easy to get to but I got a call about 5 minutes after my food arrived from this number. It’s so pointless

Was trying to register with UBER for a ride. Is this number a UBER call centre? Back of Bourke as far as I can tell.

It's Uber eats delivery, only time I ever get a call from Uber eats is from a Woolworths delivery, even though I stated to leave at the door and the exact location with instructions, some will call you, so they don't have to hop out of there car and place the groceries at your doorstep, annoying as hell, I just put my phone in aeroplane mode and act like i am not home

But it works help if the driver would at least knock on the door…

I can see from the other posts that this is from Uber. I didn't order anything but received a text with a code and then received a phone call. I didn't answer the call because I didn't recognise the number.
