He was a nuisance. I actually had to msg him via the app to stop fcking calling me straightaway like a psycho. What started it: he accepted my request for but i cancelled it bc i didnt wanna wait 20mins even tho i paid extra for earlier parcel pickup. He kept accepting selfishly after i cancelled and restarted the requested. What an impulsive, selfish careless prick. I reported to uber, even tho we ALL know that that wont do sht.

I also live in Brisbane, however I've never ordered Uber Eats or Order groceries online! So go figure! Have now blocked the number!

Not sure why people are on here wingeing about getting a call from a service that they utilise and if they didnt utilise it, they wouldn't get a call. Paranoid or what?! No 1 wants to know about ur problems u have had with F#&@!N uber. This site is to report NUMBERS that are SCAMS. If u got a problem with UBER, take it up with bloody UBER! Any little thing these days. Bored little trolls with nothing better to do.. seriously..

Got a message to say this number was a suspicious call????

I almost got scammed after "Uber Eats" called me. They also sent verification text - which I later compared to a legit verification text and it differed. It was not this phone number that called me. My Uber Eats driver called me this morning to demonstrate and somehow I have three calls, one of which was this one (three minutes after the initial call)

Had a call from this number at Quambone N S W about 4 hours after getting an Uber Eats delivery in Queensland. Very strange !!!

They've been calling me non-stop for the past month and I got a new phone during this time but when I put my sim in this number is still calling but I never answer. I think it's a scam very suspicious

It was a Uber driver telling me he had arrived at my house with my Dan Murphy order. Great service, very speedy.

Have not made an uber eats order today.
Did not answer and they did not leave a message

Why are they calling from Quambone, NSW - I live in Adelaide

Caller: (most likely) Woolworths Delivery (possibly subcontracted via Uber)

Woolies Delivery / Uber driver parked on opposite side of block, entirely different road to the road named in the address. Entirely their mistake, but I received a call from this number while I'm inside the drivers car directing him to the correct road. Suspect while I was sprinting to find them they probably notified uber that it could be a missed delivery and Woolies/Uber called to advise. However since it was an out of state number I didn't pick up. Checked voicemail and it was just an automated voice saying please call back right away. Did not provide name, company number or reason.

Would have reported as a scam call except I next got a confirmed woolies SMS alerting me the driver couldn't find me and may become a missed delivery. And given my situation, putting 2 + 2 together it's woolies/uber trying to contact you before it becomes a 'missed delivery' - it's just so incompetently done it comes across as a scam.

But at time of writing it isn't a scam. It's an uber/woolies robo dialer about a pending order.

This number rings me at least 3 times a day even on the weekends

It's a centralised call centre number from Uber, they don't have a call centre in each state, I'm pretty sure they don't even have one in Sydney, they are offshore, but it's rerouted via an Australian number so that it doesn't look suss. But as per your comment, it still appears suspicious to anyone not in NSW anyway (and most people *in* NSW too)

I was waiting for my Uber Eats order to arrive and could see the car was in the street behind me. Driver called me from the mobile number provided on my order page (this is the number associated with each uber driver) but call dropped out.
Then i receive call from (02) 5850 3285, normally I don't answer calls from unknown numbers but I made the assumption that it would be a call from uber routed via the call centre landline number and this was correct.
So anyone querying why a Sydney landline number is coming up when they don't live in NSW - it's because it's a centralised number from an Uber call centre. It's entirely likely that the call centre itself doesn't even operate in Sydney itself but rerouted from an offshore call centre. It's standard practice for so many businesses nowadays, like internet service providers, mobile phone companies, energy companies, food delivery and ride share to off-shore their call centres, but if you call them or they call you, it's via an Australian phone number.
It's completely crappy in it's lack of transparency, and naturally leads to numbers like this one ending up on this very site under "scam" and "spam". If not for the fact my call had dropped out with the Uber delivery driver, I wouldn't have answered such a call. Better to be over-cautious than the alternative.

Scammers called and a recorded message said that my shops iPad was not responding so no orders could be received.....
I Don't have a shop of any kind, so ordering food from me will get you nowhere. TOTAL SCAM.
