Caller: (most likely) Woolworths Delivery (possibly subcontracted via Uber) Woolies Delivery / Uber driver parked on opposite side of block, entirely different road to the road named in the address. Entirely their mistake, but I received a call from this number while I'm inside the drivers car directing him to the correct road. Suspect while I was sprinting to find them they probably notified uber that it could be a missed delivery and Woolies/Uber called to advise. However since it was an out of state number I didn't pick up. Checked voicemail and it was just an automated voice saying please call back right away. Did not provide name, company number or reason.
Would have reported as a scam call except I next got a confirmed woolies SMS alerting me the driver couldn't find me and may become a missed delivery. And given my situation, putting 2 + 2 together it's woolies/uber trying to contact you before it becomes a 'missed delivery' - it's just so incompetently done it comes across as a scam.
But at time of writing it isn't a scam. It's an uber/woolies robo dialer about a pending order.

It's a centralised call centre number from Uber, they don't have a call centre in each state, I'm pretty sure they don't even have one in Sydney, they are offshore, but it's rerouted via an Australian number so that it doesn't look suss. But as per your comment, it still appears suspicious to anyone not in NSW anyway (and most people *in* NSW too)

Caller: Uber Eats I was waiting for my Uber Eats order to arrive and could see the car was in the street behind me. Driver called me from the mobile number provided on my order page (this is the number associated with each uber driver) but call dropped out. Then i receive call from (02) 5850 3285, normally I don't answer calls from unknown numbers but I made the assumption that it would be a call from uber routed via the call centre landline number and this was correct. So anyone querying why a Sydney landline number is coming up when they don't live in NSW - it's because it's a centralised number from an Uber call centre. It's entirely likely that the call centre itself doesn't even operate in Sydney itself but rerouted from an offshore call centre. It's standard practice for so many businesses nowadays, like internet service providers, mobile phone companies, energy companies, food delivery and ride share to off-shore their call centres, but if you call them or they call you, it's via an Australian phone number. It's completely crappy in it's lack of transparency, and naturally leads to numbers like this one ending up on this very site under "scam" and "spam". If not for the fact my call had dropped out with the Uber delivery driver, I wouldn't have answered such a call. Better to be over-cautious than the alternative.

Caller: Uber Eats I used Milkrun as convenient and as I am disabled. It was delivery to my unit door however this driver did not want to and told me to meet him in the lobby. I stated I was unable as use a walker and can not manage groceries at the same time. He stated he couldn’t find a park. I said that’s funny another delivery guy 5 minutes before him had no problems. Then I get a text message that the delivery guy had contacted me and if I didn’t respond he would cancel delivery. When he does. Buzz to be let up he dumps the bags demands the PIN number for Milkrun and is off. So rude. I find he had refunded several Items because he couldn’t be bothered looking, grabbed really sub par fruit and two different flavoured crackers etc. I’m tired of lazy delivery drivers of Uber and whilst my bags were being left the phone goes off but I couldn’t answer. Then I discovered he had called Uber all because he originally didn’t want to deliver to the door in an apartment block. I have complained to Milkrun I never want that Uber delivery guy again. They were kind enough to compensate my fee for the inconvenience and were ring Uber to advise of his lack of service.

Caller: Message is Uber Eats T looks like it is (02) 5850 3285. Seems some kind of robo call. It calls our landline each day at 7am. So I unplugged the landline etc. Left it off for months. Plugged it in yesterday and the annoying call from this number came in again at 7am.. We do not use that landline so it seem very strange. There is a do not call for that number on the Register. Also complained to Telstra and Uber… Nothing done. Suggestions?

I just had an Uber Eats order delivered, I went out and met them at the driveway when i saw they had nearly arrived. After i got back inside with the food, this number called me but i didn't answer it, as it was a Sydney number (02) 5850 3285. I tried to call it back 5 times, as i was curious after seeing the above messages, why Urber may have been calling me, but it gave an engaged signal every time i tried

very strange, firstly i had a delivery arriving from coles, which i always said to leave it at door. They RING from a mobile ( Indian or pakistani name) saying if you do not reply to driver your order may be cancelled, what? have never had a call like this before from a COLES driver. Then i get this call from a syd no ---i am in perth so do reply. then i receive a message to say your order has been delivered. it is usually delivered to front door and usually get a message to let me know. very strange indeed I will be notifying Coles about this oddity.

As others have said, it shows as Uber Eats. In my case, this is the 3rd party driver for a Woolworths home delivery. So legitimate number. Only frustrating part is I don't want phone calls, I have given authority to leave on my front verandah and will come out and collect.
