Caller: Bank Bank impersonating Bank's Fraud Team. "We suspect identify fraud" ... "Please verify" myself but they already knew first digits of my card, name, partner's mobile, British accent, asked if I had made recent transactions in Perth or on a Samsung device ($15 Netflix? $600 Apple?), asked me to open my bank app and verify my username had not changed and asked to confirm it back to them. Partner was on the other line calling the bank to verify it was not a legitimate call. Said things like, "I understand this could be making you uncomfortable" and also "What is taking you so long?". Would not verify their name or number, but eventually gave me a name which was on a public LinkedIn page as a senior exec at the bank's fraud team.
