Caller claimed to be from Vodafone and offered a discount. I asked if the offer was available on the Vodafone website. I was told it wasn't. Even if this isn't a scam, it's a third party which means the 'discount' will have hidden charges. The call allegedly came from Aberfoyle in rural northern NSW, but that town has no high-rise buildings, let alone a busy call centre (which the background ambience of the call indicated). The call had the stench of grift all over it.
