Caller: Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute

Recently I signed up as a research program participant with Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute.

I did NOT sign up to have my data shared with the outsourced Baker fund raising team - I received a phone call from them this afternoon. The caller named Baker and that I filled in a survey.

Given the recent high profile data hacking events affecting Optus, Medibank Private, AHM and others, I was shocked to see that University of Tasmania and Baker have willingly allowed participants data to be shared with the outsourced Baker fund raising team.

Likely another Spam or Fundraiser - or that D# head Palmer Blocked & deleted

Another charity who thinks your an ATM

Called me from "Ballina" - I didn't answer and they did not leave a message. Blocked.

They have blocked their caller ID. You need to contact your network provider and ask them to block them at the Network level

This number has called me 5 days in a row, from Ballina NSW. It's a telefundraising agency acting on behalf of St John's. I suspect they got my number because I did a first aid course with them some time ago.

If you miss their call and return it, an automated voice tells you they will return your call "as soon as possible" with no option to opt out. It's a legitimate organisation employing really scummy tactics to raise funds. Don't support this behaviour, and don't pick up the phone or return their calls - they'll use it as an invitation to bombard you.

Caller ID as Ballina, my mum is in a nursing home there. I thought she had died. Not happy.

They called my 15 year old daughter this morning and asked for her by her first and second name and then hung up
