Caller: Scammers pretending to be from Telstra Started out as a robocall claiming my internet would be disconnected in 24 hours because the NBN was now available. I thought it seemed off, but I pressed 1 to "be connected to a technician" out of curiosity. I was then told my internet would be suspended because of "so many IP addresses connecting from your computer". Unlike when Telstra rings, the person did not ask me questions to verify my account but went straight to telling me to enter a command to "solve the issue". I immediately terminated the call. To be sure, I double-checked with Telstra online support who confirmed it was a scam.
