Caller: Claim to be the NBN with a problem in the network

Clearly a Scam Phishing for details and wanting me to download malware on to my computer.

Yet another scamming lowlife calling and not leaving a message. Is there nothing that the telcos can do, in 2023, to put a stop to this intolerable deluge of scam calls?

Not a NSW number and the legit business Hidden Gem is Victorian based

comes up as "Hidden Gem"

Said calling re issues with my internet (I'm not having any). Obviously calling from an O/S call centre. When questioned, claimed to be a Senior Security Officer with Telstra. Clearly a scam. Terminated call and blocked number. Will also report as phishing.

Called twice in the space of an hour. Didn't answer either time as has Sydney area code and don't know anyone who lives there. Based on comments above, assume scam.

Claimed was NBN and internet speed too slow, said would fix it, I hung up

The ATO doesn't make phone calls to people if they owe money and demand part payment immediately.

When I Google this number it comes up as a restaurant in Port Macquarie, but when I dial it back I get a message that it's disconnected.
Clearly a scammer spoofing a once legitimate number.
I can block these numbers on my mobile. Wish I could on my landline.

Caller: Said name was Jason

Yesterday no msg left. Scammer rang back and said that he was ringing about my broadband connectivity.

Claimed from NBN technical department and NBN technicians are working in my area and would check my modem for compatibility for upgrade to FTTP. Hang up - definitely a scam- but persistent and very convincing!

Unknown and no msg left. I didn't call back.

Allowed to go to voicemail and after 20 seconds no message left and call hung up. Have blocked caller as suspect is a scammer.

Caller said: from Telstra re my internet connection. (I hangup then). Many talking in background so call centre.
Definite scam call. However, the business name shown does Id (spoofed) as a legit business name.

Caller hung up after my answering then tried to tell me they were from an NBN company, line got cut and called once again with a different person. Clearly scam.
