2 calls from this number today, silence for about 5 seconds then a computerised voice says 'goodbye'!! Strange

Constant calls from this number no response when I answer

Living in the Netherlands and calles with this number!! The same they wanted me to have a seat for the computer. I refused.

In Nederland ook gebeld door dit nummer. In het engels. Ze stellen zich voor als van het departement microsoft. Als je niks doet zullen hackers je computer laten crashen?????

Got call saying they were from Windows and there was some problem with illegal activity on my account - when I asked for his full name he hung up

Indian male called "victor" yeah right, claiming my computer is infected with a virus and he can clear it if i allow him remote access.told him where to go and hung up. I have also had lots of silent calls from this number too .

The number doesn't exist because it is a fake number used via Skype/VOIP. The call comes from India.  Getting peoples names and addresses is easy.  This scam was highlighted on "You've been Scammed"., BBC1, 21st November.  These people will install spyware/malware on the computer if given remote access.  Any money they ask for to "fix" nonexistent faults seems to  be a diversion to hide what they are really doing.  The Director of Security for Microsoft stated, on the same programme, that neither Microsoft, nor its partners, would ever cold call you.  It would be a breach of their privacy rules.

This scum is still at it, except this time he hung up when I asked for his telephone number - so that I could check that this 'pond life' was genuine! Again (as with others on this website) the same nonsense about calling from Windows Microsoft and telling me that my computer has generated messages to his company that my computer is having problems.

This piece of **** would have more problems if I could get hold of him to detach the nerve endings in his fingers so he could never be able to make the calls he does to piss people off!!!

Just got a call from this number at 10.35ish, but they hung up on me? Maybe my youthful voice made them realise one does not simply scam a 24 year old likely to know about computers... It was to my parents house, but luckily my mum knows now not to listen and shouts and my dad, well, you don't try to mess with angry barristers! I really hope they don't call back, silent calls really irritate me...
