Scam!!! Caller said they were from commbank and that they had identified potentially fraudulent charges on the Mastercard. Gave me reference number etc. Eventually wanted to know if I used the card on any online shopping sites. When I said PayPal I immediately received a text message from “PayPal” with a security code. Caller got frantic when I said I would check my messages and then call commbank directly!

Someone has to stop these scammers from getting a hold of Australian phone numbers permanently. Telstra is who they're claiming to be so maybe telstra being the telco of Australia should be getting on top of this.

Put call to voicemail, they recorded a message saying 'hello hello' with a lot of noise in the background, then hung up. Second call today from this number, blocked, getting sick of all the scam calls.

I had previously blocked this no and my provider did not let it come through this time, only pinged like a text.

Scam call. Caller was a young female saying she was from telstra service department.

did not get to call in time but do not recognise number and no message left.

Phone rang, screen went red and announced out loud that the caller was a "Potential Fraud" and showed those words on the screen. Number apparently calling from Bathurst. Lucky me, I let it ring out.

Young female voice says leave a message, then that turns off and a second message starts with a female American accent, stating this message box is now full.
