Caller: Rosoland from EBay

Female with accent calling from number registered to ACT Stating that my eBay account had been compromised with a purchase of eBay cards valued at $200. If it wasn’t my purchase she asked if I would like her to cancel the transaction. She proceeded to ask what type of phone I was using then to go to apps so I could download app and she would step me through. I ended the call Stating I was driving and she asked me what time tomorrow would suit her to call me. So she’s calling tomorrow now. The suspicion got the better of me so thought I’d google the number and well well well others have reported a scam which is enough confirmation for me it’s a scam. Can’t wait for her to call tomorrow, will I string her along for a while??

Caller: Claimed to be E Bay Payment Services

Don't fall for their BS. It is a SCAM. I work for the Fraud Department in an Australian Bank and have been able to verify it as a scam. Somehow they have got their hands on E Bay Data, so if you have an EBay account, contact them immediately to report that you received one of these scam calls. They can take steps to stop these people getting into your EBay Account. It also appears they know some Bank Acount Information as well.If they know your Bank Account Details, IMMEDIATELY contact your Bank and let them know so they can keep an eye on your account and stop any fraudulent transactions on your account/s.

Caller: Scam claiming to be ebay payment support.

Caller rang my wife. Recorded message saying would be deducting money from her account. Called number back. Woman with Indian accent answered. Claimed to be from eBay payment support. When I said this was a scam and reporting the number to police. She's hung up.

Caller: Not ebay support

Claimed they were from ebay support, saying there was unauthorized activity on my account. Wanted me to download an app for them to gain access to my phone. I checked with ebay, and this call was not from them.
