Caller: Claimed to be from Telstra Received a call on Fri 12/11/2021. Said that due to Covid I was eligible for a 40%discount on my bill for next 6 months. Sent a code to confirm from Telstra. Then started asking for drivers licence and Pin. I informed them that this was highly irregular and hung up. I later checked my account and found that my email had been changed and that unauthorised purchases were on my account. I provided Telstra with the phone number they called from, the email address they used and the home address that the deliveries were to be made. Orders have since been cancelled. Don't normally answer numbers I don't know but this said it was from Canberra and I was waiting for a Government Department to call me.
