I didn’t take this call as it wasn’t from my friends’ list! Blocked it as soon as it stopped ringing. I would say it is a scam call!

Caller: Scammer pretending to be ANZ Said I had a $1000 charge taken out against my debit card, press 1 to accept and 2 to decline. I hung up lol

Caller: Scammer Recorded message saying they were from the ANZ Bank, that a charge of $1200 was made to my account, etc. I don’t bank with ANZ.

I did not answer this number as I phone said the number orignated from "City, Australian Capital Territory", and I have never had reason to call anyone from the ACT. The ensuing voicemail was an automated message which said "Have not yet contacted you. You have an urgent document notification. For details please press 1 for English. Please press 2 for Chinese". Then something was said in a Chinese language.
