Caller: some charity they ring you answer they don't talk. you call back and get a message saying they are one of australias leading charities. yeh right why then dont you talk when the phone is answered. i keep blocking these numbers but keep getting call i do not give over the phone i support local charities in my home town.

Caller: called 6.18pm during dinner......another Kalkuta call i suspect. no one at other end. our government needs to pull their finger out work with our telco's to block all unregistered numbers.

Caller: Zero Bully Charity Saying that they are from Charity to stop bullying. I have registered my phone via "Do not call" and somehow still receiving this type of call.

I am becoming increasingly concerned with the number of "Charities contacting me without my permission" THIS IS ONE # This is contradictory of gaining my initial permission without obtaining my consent. Every second day now, I have been contacted by "another charity seeking money" ( Australian (03) xxxxxxx or (02)xxxxxxx interstate numbers).
When ask them directly "How did you get my number?" I am told they have accessed this via a database. I am shocked. This contradictory to giving my permission with them obtaining my consent of my private number, (as noted by the ACCC). "Strict privacy safeguards are built into the Consumer Data Right to ensure your data is protected". It appears not with these various charities! I feel very strongly about the invasion of my privacy, and tell them that "due to this I am not interested, we are all feeling the recent increase in the cost of living etc... NO" They continue to read their script and become quite forceful in seeking donations.
I just hang up as I will not engage in their tactics.
If this does not stop, I will continue to hang up, and will seek further advice from the ACCC. I do not give permission for my details to be accessed from an unknown database.
