Yep, we got the same. Microsoft account about to be cut off Recorded Asian/American female voice: Hi, this is Alison from Microsoft. We have been trying to get in contact with you. You are about to be disconnected ...
This looks like a legitimate phone number from my town, and that is why I answered it.
Scammer claiming to be from Microsoft saying licence has expired and computer would be disconnected, also that IP address had been "compromised" - press button 1 to connect. Tried that and the idiots hung up before I had a chance to ask them what my IP address actually was. Found a missed call from this number. Checked on here to see if it was a known number. Like most of the missed calls I get, it was a scam. three calls in an hour. I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message but after reading this site, the next time they rang I answered, heard the call centre noises and blew a whistle into the phone very loudly. haven't had another call since ScamSpam...
