Call from a non-existent company "The Green Australia Company" - hung up when I asked for their physical address - the best they could do was "Sydney"

This is a scam - say they are from The Green Energy Australia (I can't find any such company). When questioned as to where they were they said they were in Sydney, when told the phone number isn't a Sydney number and asked where they were located in Sydney, they said Sydney, told them Sydney is a big place, and asked what is their address, they hung up.
Seems to be some sort of scam about solar energy or rebates.
I didn't give them any information but have reported to government scamwatch.

Claimed they were calling on behalf of the Federal Govt's solar rebate plan, wanted to know if we had solar panels. They are calling on a daily basis and being told we are on the do not call register and stop harrassing us

I am on the do not call register. Woman phoned in regard to the Federal Government solar panel rebate scheme. Then asked if I have solar panels to which I replied that is none of their business and terminated the call. I suspect that the 47 in the phone number indicates that the call may have originated from the central coast and not Sydney. I do not report these matters to Scam watch as they are just hopeless and do nothing. I have good reason to believe that these scammers are targeting people who are on the do not call register who are mainly pensioners and the vulnerable. I just do not understand why someone can not go and confiscate the phone and computers from these address. Maybe this would be so simple. My understanding is that these scammers get about 50 million yearly from the vulnerable.

This number called our home 5 times in two days and left 5 messages with no message on my 101, but when I called back there was a massage stating that "sorry oputus advises that this number has been disconnected.

Called me and when I answered I had silence then beeps. I think it was a computer checking to see if my number is active so that someone can call and annoy me. If they do call I will gladly take their call and waste copious amounts of their time complaining about the cost of electricity and how excited I am they called with tales of huge electricity costs and how I look forward to sending them money. I have a bit of time on my hands so I will do this for the victims.

called while we were out. tried to call back, but number not connected. Yes, the area code 47 is for Penrith.

Called my silent number.....and John, "47" prefix is Penrith area
