As above claim Telstra billing department & they had a promo, as soo as I said hmm interesting she hung up

Claimed they were from Telstra offering a 40% discount and asked me for my full name. When I questioned how do I know she was from Telstra and why can't the offer be sent to my bigpond email so I can confirm the authenticity - she promptly hung up on me.

Same as above. Claiming to be from Telstra billing department and having a “promotional discount”. Wanting details that if they were Telstra as they have claimed that they really should know!

Claiming she was from Telstra with a 40% discount. While she was talking I checked in Google and saw it was a scam - the same wording was used. She had said she only wanted my first and last name to verify I was the account holder. I said she should have my name if she was from Telstra and was ringing me on my mobile. I said thank you and hung up.
