I initially called a 1800 number for Centrelink and was waiting for 36 minutes, when I tried (02) 4654 7101 on my other line and got straight through.

4654 7099 is a fax number. Why is there not a direct number to a local Centrelink office. We are told by Centrelink not to come to the office due to Covid 19 yet we are not given a direct number to contact them.

I tried the (02) 4654 7101, but I was put straight through to the call centre. It's not a shortcut - better to just ring the call centre direct. Saves you time in the long run.
