I got a call from this number around 9.40 last night. I could hear people but they hung up when I answered. Today I have had 2 missed calls from the same number. When I try to call back it says number disconnected

I've had calls on both my landline and mobile at 1030pm. Not impressed. Tried to call back. Number "not connected". Stop calling!!!

This is a telephone scam that is targeting Chinese who live in Australia. It claims that there is a parcel from 'China Embassy' for claiming.

They are claiming to be from Telstra and are notifying you that your IP address is being used elsewhere in the world. I don't even use Telstra

They want you to change some security settings but they weren't able to verify who they were

Received 2 calls about 3 hours apart from this number, obviously from an overseas call centre from the background voices before a female with a thick Pakistani sounding accent came on the line. The first time she didn't seem to be able to hear me and the background voices continued until the line went dead. The second time she claimed to be from Telstra and proceeded to babble on about my internet connection. I pulled her up and told her to go and get an honest job and she hung up on me.

received same number twice today, did not answer the call.

Dont know this number so presume it's a scammer number as no message left!

Aussie government should pay lot more attention on these scammers, last November, phone fraud easily grabbed $800000 more than October. Please stay alert!!!

Caller: Someone claiming to be from Telstra Technical Department

"David" from technical dept of Telstra has called me 4 times on my mobile and 2 times on the home phone in the last 48 hours. I am not with Telstra, never have been. Each time I could hear call centre noise in the background. I can only assume this is a scam.

I rang the number back (02) 4545 8985 and got disconnected
