Recorded message saying that they have been trying to contact me & that my internet & home phone will be disconnected as NBN is now available in my area.
They ask you to press 1 to be connected to a technician (which I did not do)

Caller: Stated that her name was Nicole, From telstra.

I have been receiving this caller most afternoons at about 5.00pm. on & off for the past 6 months. Is there anything Telstra can do aboutthese scammers?

Caller: Supposedly Ryan Wilson who sounded very Indian

Recorded message from Nicole from Telstra about disconnecting our internet. Then press 1 to connect to technician, then you get some scammer with a South Asian/Indian accent.

Hoax caller saying my NBN was being cut off and to press 1 to be connected to the operator. Can’t this number be blocked from the network?

Scam. Claims that they will disconnect NBN so you have to speak to a technician. Probably gonna extort you for your bank details.

Same happened to me today.

Telstra should block this number.

Phone number was an unfamiliar interstate phone number so I immediately blocked it.

Caller: SCAM

ask for the caller's ID and name, then asked for the department they are calling from... she hung up.
tried asking for my business iinfo - do not divulge.

How do they cancel your phone service so you connect to NBN when you are already on NBN. Not very intelligent scammers.

Said my phone was going to be cut off as NBN was in my area.
We were connected to NBN last Friday!

Caller: Claimed to be from NBN

Tried to obtain information from me, when i started asking questions she hung up.

If you call the number back it goes straight to message bank which is full.

Did not answer as I did not recognise the number.

Has called about 30 times and wont stop.

THIS IS A SCAM. DONT ANSWER OR SIMPLY PICK UP & HANG UP.

I always let these calls click through to Answering machine mode first. If they are serious and it is a genuine call, they will leave a message - they never do. SCAM !

phone rang, I picked up but cut out before the caller spoke (this is regular problem since NBN). so I rang back, started to get a message but it cut out too.
