seemed like a scam. said my acct was subject to a transaction and that they had stopped it to verify it with me. I checked, there had been no such transaction. They had the first part of my card number. Brian transferred me to the BB fraud area, spoke with a person called David Willis (?). I asked him who the manager of the local BB was, he told me a name, but that person died about 2-3 years ago. I told him I thought that it was all a pack of lies etc and he hung up!! today 6 Sept 2024 at 5.45 pm.

Definitely Scammers! Be careful. Went through the well known "This is Microsoft and we have detected suspicious activity on your computer" They claim to know your Microsoft or Computer Serial Number and then try to get you to look it up by using the Command Prompt Windows Button + R (to get to the old DOS CMD window) and entering "ASSOC" which brings up a generic number at the end that LOOKS like a serial number but is not unique to your computer. Hoping that this will convince you they have your specific details - which they don't. I knew of this scam and just kept the lady on the phone long enough to confirm it was that exact scam. Don't fall for it!!! I hate Scammers!!!!

Said she was calling from Microsoft and that they had a virus alert on my computer. As this is a business this didn't seem to be legitimate. Also called several times after asking them to stop calling
