verification department from paypal, I think its just scam

Caller: I don't know

Keeps calling and calling - using the same first 6 numbers of their number, but the last digits change. Always rubbish. It's as though they're checking to see if someone is on the other end of the line to check the mobile number is active. Block

Caller: (02) 4072 9149

Caller said they were calling about my PayPal account and after I challenged him I went quiet and the caller laughed and said “hey, my boy, come here, suck my d*ck, lick my balls my boy”

Said they were from PayPal and I just had over $400 taken out of my bank. I don’t have a PayPal account when I said I would check my bank account they hang up

Said they were from Paypal and asked me if I was "name from 15 years ago". I said no and hung up. But I've been called from iterations of this number now 3 times in 24 hours. The last two times they were from "Telstra" about my IP address.

Said she was from telstra about my internet, as I am not with them I hung up. i would say its a scam.

Caller: “Telstra” - he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Caller: claimed to be ANZ bank

computer generated voice claiming to be from ANZ bank about a transaction. I hung up.

Caller: Fake anz

Pretend message saying a transfer was coming out of my ANZ bank. I don’t have an acct with them!

Caller: Ebay support centre

Pretended that someone in California had tried to do an unauthorised transaction for $500 on my ebay account. She said my phone probably had a virus on it and I should check. As soon as I said i had NordVPN the call was terminated.

Scam

My phone warned me that this was a suspected scam call. So I didn’t answer. No message left.

Caller: Visa/MasterCard security department

Pretending to be Visa/MasterCard security saying my debit card had suspicious overseas transactions on it

Scam. Says Maitland NSW. Call back and automated voice says, "thank you for calling China Taiping Insurance". Exactly the same as another call received, also saying from Maitland, on (02) 4072 9143.

Caller: said was commonwealth bank

a recorded message from Commonwealth Bank (supposed), message was to press 1 to approve this transaction. hung up immediately. I called the number later. They answered with a recorded message, " Chinese ??? <name was not clear

Wanting approval for transaction - Robocall

Caller: Automated Voice identifying itself as Olivia from Commonwealth- a suspicious $1800 transaction identfied on your Debit Card - press 1 if the transaction was you or press 2 if not

Reported Call to Comm Bank

Scam. Tried to say it was VISA fraud team but I don’t have a VISA
