Got as far as, "this is a confirmation..." in an automated voice before I hung up.

Caller: No idea

Some automated message about a sum of money ($299) to be taken out of my account by Ebay. Asks you to select one of a number of options available. Nope! Not falling for that s**t. Definitely a SPAM call. The call eventually terminated when I didnt press anything

Filtered out by my phone but caller left no message. Assumed spam. No-one would be calling me from this area code.

automated message saying that a purchase from ebay will be debited from my account and asking to press 1 to talk to an agent. Ebay never contact people this way. this is obviously a scam. Block the number

Spam caller. Left message about an eBay purchase.... Press 1 etc... press 2.. Total Rubbish. Block and delete.

Caller: Someone claiming to be from Ebay

Saying I purchased a gift card under my mobile number. They could not give me the address where the gift card was going and they could not disclose my name. I then asked if they'd like me to call the police and they hung up. Definately a scam.

Stating eBay as funds taken out account

Answered but they hung up - came up as from Newcastle, NSW no where near me.

Missed call around 5PM and phone identified it as spam
