Caller: Scammer claiming to be ebay

Called using this number - first a robo message then press 1 to talk to someone. I was informed Someone opened a new ebay account 2 days ago using my phone number and put through a purchase of iTunes gift cards for $299 and they wanted to verify if the order should be cancelled. Then they tried to get me to download TeamViewer so they could send me a form via a “secure server” to process the cancellation (and couldn’t answer when I asked why they wouldn’t just send me the details by my ebay inbox “like you guys normally contact me”). I played a long for a bit and ended up wasting the scumbags’ time for well over an hour. Spoke with 5/6 of them because I had time to spare and they all used the same script, and stupidly have used a number that lets you call them back when they cut the line because they’re annoyed with you.

If they contact me again I’ll gladly waste more of their time because they’re horrible people taking advantage of those who don’t know better.

Hell everyone should call the number listed just to make their lives living hell.

Caller: E-bay

I got a call from a mobile number 0416 164 486 first, didn't answer then a call from this number came immediately after. Ignored it then called back.
She said it was to do with a $299 iTunes gift card. I said 'No, take me off this dialler' & she hung up.

Claimed to be from E-Bay - said I had bought an item for $299.00 and my account will soon be debited. So annoying.
