It’s a scammer don’t fall for the comments saying its legit.

I decided to switch to another electricity company and now Origin are calling to suck up to me. What a joke. They cannot even bother to leave a voice message.
I am changing energy company as Origin is so useless and pathetic at helping customers. Terrible rates too. If they call again I will just block their number.

I received a call from this number a week ago and I didn't answer because I thought it was a scam call until i looked up the number and saw this page. I never called them back but I have now received 14 calls from them within one week. Definitely getting annoyed with these calls. I have not left them and gone to a new provider so there is no need to call me to offer me a discounted rate to stay on as a customer... very strange.

I don’t answer numbers from unknown callers,if legitimate they generally leave a message. Very frustrating to find this was an important call from Origin Energy but they did not leave a message

I decided to switch to another electricity provider from Origin. I have had eight calls today already since 9.46 am from what appears to be Origin. I haven't answered any of them. Feels like harassment though. No way would I stay with them now after this. This is not good customer services. Its badgering.

Origin, asking is we did a swap to a new supplier. He kept saying they can offer a discount if I say yes to him right there and then. Pushy as. I hate pushy salespeople. Told him I'd have to hear the T&Cs first, waited till he started reading them, carefully put the phone in another room and walked off.

Same. Who calls from Newcastle. I was looking at the number waiting for my phone to say 'suspected spam' or 'Potential Fraud'. Well done Origin.

Legit call. Calling me to offer better rates AFTER I had left for a better provider. Show no loyalty to companies, they don't care about you.

i rang origin this morning , then recieved a call back this afternoon from (02) 4063 1015 , same girl that i spoke to in the morning , but sounded like she was at home lots of talking in the background in another language , but definately the same person i spoke to this morning on the 132461 number

The number just keeps calling - and never leaving a message..
What better way to scream “Scam”!?

They left a message: heavy breathing, throat clearing, and background chatter.
If someone rings and doesn’t leave a message message, I won’t ring back.
End of story.

They left me a voicemail: 30 seconds of heavy breathing, grunting, and background chatter. What wonderful “customer service”. I have left them, too.

They gave me discount on my utilties

Can confirm this is a legitimate Origin Energy call, offered 19% discount, knew provider I changed to and didn't request credit card info etc, received legitimate emails from Origin to email address already on file with them from before I left.

This is a legitimate number from Origin Energy - not a scam - was calling me re my "life support" medical paperwork being due for renewal.
