I received a phone call from this number 061240479243 caller name is Franklin Benjamin he said to be from ATO , he has an American accent, anyone comes across this ?

is this a scam?

i answered and it claimed to be Franklin Benjamin from ATO. but was a pre-recorded message and had a minor accent. Returned the call and "all lines were busy"

Went to voicemail. Left a message, claiming to be from the Australian Taxation Office. Deleted the message before it reached the end.

I got this call today also 11:55. It was a recorded message that sounded very menacing. “Do not disregard this message”.... this is about a Tax avoidance case against you.... if this were legit, how dare they not make a live call. I will ignore!!
His was from someone called Frank Benjamin - Australian tax office. Sounds dodgy. Probably a trap to call and run up a phone bill to a pain number unawares.

Same thing happened to me, said it was Franklin Benjamin and he was from Australian Taxation Office. Apparently a warrant in relation to my personal Tax....
