The Social Research Centre is not bogus nor telemarketing ... they do surveys for the Australian National University that gets predominantly government contracts - to do surveys on behalf of the gov, so then in turn it helps the gov decide where funding should be provided ... so doing these surveys is actually helping the community ... and sometimes they are paid surveys (but they can't tell you if they are or not until the end of the survey. Don't slam these callers - they are just trying to get info to help the community

hangup calls are always suspicious. if they do not have the common courtesy to leave a message and properly identify themselves then they are not worth talking to
