Ordered $11,000 worth of products then asked to be refunded. We were in the process of refunding but he gave us another completely different card number then we cancelled the refund and alerted the bank. The original owner of one of the cards he tried to use called us and alerted it was a fraudulent purchase.
He payed the amount of $11,000 on two separate cards. and went under the name of DAVID ATKINS. doesn't return emails or answer the phone unless he calls you, or contacts you

We had the same today. Also shipment to Norway and using a fake credit card, and his own shipping company.

same phone number (02) 4022 9412

email Paul McClymont77 @ gmail.com

Incredibly pushy.

Hope someone catches him.

I too have received emails from a Michael Rosenberg wanting to purchase timber blinds from me for a children's orphanage. This is a legitimate home, it was a legitimate freight company but not the right email addresses . His own address was a legitimate Sydney address and his name that was used is of a prominent person in West Africa who supplies computers to schools over there and has done a lot for charities. Very convincing on the surface. But I was not convinced as I know that they could have got the product delivered far cheaper from the UK due ti high freight costs this side. Seller beware!! I did not go through with the sale...

I had a Joe Parkinson ( Asian accent, poor line) email me in similar scenario to those above. I played along assuming it was a scam. He wanted me to phone him back on (02) 4022 9412 . Before i did i googled the number and found this page. I took a screen shot and emailed it back to him. He phoned back the next day wondering why i hadn't called him back . I asked to check his email whilst he was on the phone. He must live in a bad phone service area as we lost contact.Funny that. I did send him a parting another email. I don't think ill hear from him again.

David Atkin contacted me asking for 2 of our large price items. After saying he was in Australia and at an address in an industrial area of Canberra, preceded to say that the stock needed to be sent to Romania with an email address to organize quote for freight. Here I am, thankful for the other comments here as he will not waste my time further. Note to all business people, stick to the overseas freight companies that you know!

We just had him contact us and another company using 2 different email addresses and now going under the name of Mr David Atkin and ordering a strange amount of a particular product, I always clarify orders with asking for a phone number first especially with this kind of amount.. he gave me this (02) 4022 9412 which I rang and no answer and then I googled it as I always do to find this thread.. thank you to all the others making comment so we don't end up making a mistake and wasting any time.

In regards to this phone number, we had an email (gmail) from a guy called Jeffery Lands with company name and full address but no phone number. As he wanted to order some of our goods but wanted price, I decided that I should give him a call to discuss quantities.I googled the company name to find the phone number, however there was no such company or anything even like it. Using Google Maps I then searched his address in West Heidleberg Victoria which was a different company entirely but legitimate with a good website. Strangely enough the address was right beside a company selling exactly what he was asking for. We are based thousands of miles away, so go figure…. I then sent an email requesting his phone number to which he replied “Ph :(02) 4022 9412 .Am at a conference ,so my line is off at the moment but can send emails if you need any other details. Thanks Jeff”

He looks like he is continually changing his name. I had a Kendrick Gunner with orders to be sent to Norway using his shipping company. I was suspicious from the start due to the large order with no direct answers to questions I had seeking clarification. I do not accept credit cards to my business and informed him of this and when he contacted me by phone he asked to make payment to which I politely indicated I cannot do. He hung up immediately and not had any correspondence since.

He is now going under the name matthew and asked us to use the shipping company of his choice. He wanted us to pay the shippping but we have refused. We became suspicious as he wants empty boxes sent ot Oslo.
He keeps giving me the number (02) 4022 9412 and seems very very keen to get off the telephone when he calls us and then wants us to call him back.
His name is mathew in his emails but comes up as Matthew on his email - who's going to spell their own name wrong?
He insists that you process the card while waits which we refused to do and it made us very suspicious.
Email address Matthew..williams@gmail....
We have reported this to card fraud.

The scam has reached Darwin. We used to get these a lot from "Reverends" in the Bahamas on business trips sourcing tyres for orphanages in Ghana. The best was I got a scam email wanting to buy tyres, and a scam email wanting to sell tyres at the same time, so referred them to each other, and have heard nothing more till now.

Same as Jason but we went as far as processing the payment. First credit card number didn't work (should've known when it came up as cancelled), second one went through and was received into our account so I proceeded with ordering the product. Something niggling at me made me look up shipping company and phone number... SCAM! Order cancelled and bank will be contacted to give the money back to the rightful owner.
Matthew Williams [matthew*******@gmail.com]. Spoke with very thick (possibly African) accent.

This scam has been going on for ages. Different people trying it out, but same "modus operadi". After you have accepted payment by stolen credit card they ring a few days later with a sob story about a family member passing away and not being able to carry on with the purchase. They then ask for a refund and want it paid into a bank account. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM.
It's easy to tell from the word go as they usually have no idea about the product they want to buy. Play with the pricks and waste their time. While you are doing that they cannot scam anyone else.

This is dodgey,
if you have a website and receive a strange order, like this, then be careful.

(02) 4022 9412
this is a real number set up online by someone outside Australia.
The guy uses it to pay over the phone with his credit card which i chose not to process.
He goes by the name of "James Anderson" he wanted to buy stock from me, he didnt seem to fussed what colour, but he then wanted them to be shipped to Fiji via his chosen Freight company "Victory shipping" which seems to be fictitious. http://www.victory-shipping.com/ web page under construction.
I wanted to use my own shipping agency, but he insisted on using Victory shipping, He wanted to pay me the shipping costs and I pay Victory shipping. Nothing was making sense. I have now ignored this, and please do the same should you come across something similar.

He would ring me and ask me to ring him straight back on his bankstown number

He would not stay on his own number which came up anonymous.
