How is this still an issue. It's 2019 and I'm still getting the ATO tax scam calls.

Yep got a call from (02) 4017 0993 about the same garbage left message obvious scam.

Caller: Scam call

An automated voice recording left this voicemail on my message bank: "There is a lawsuit case that's getting filed under your name. The moment you receive this message I want you to get back to me on my department division number (02) 4017 0527, I repeat (02) 4017 0527. Now if we don't hear from you we have to issue an arrest warrant and get you arrested, so get back to me as soon as possible, thank you".
I have blocked this number.

Didn’t answer the call, then listened to the voicemail and it told me if I don’t call them back ASAP they would arrange an arrest warrant to arrest me.

I got the same call from (02) 4017 0116 stating to be the ATO. and confirmed to be a scam, after calling ATO at 132861

ATO scam caller asking for thousands of dollars or the Federal police will come to my property within 45 mins.

An automated robot voice saying that was claiming to have a lawsuit against the person they were calling and have issued a warrant for my arrest.

Symbio Networks www.symbionetworks.com is the VoIP provider for this number. So give them a call on 1300 789 653 and ask them to stop the scammers

This is an ATO scam call. They will ask you for your name so they can "pull up your file". Next they will ask you to "confirm" your address. I declined to provide any information saying that I would rather them communicate with me via a letter. "This is the ATO!" the man with a thick Indian accent said with authority. I replied: "If you have my address on file, send me a letter then." He then accidentally pressed the hold button. On-hold music, then he said "Wait wait wait". I hung up. Scum of the earth.
