I always look at the number if its not on my contacts I never answer the call. If its important they will leave a message. They never do. Im wondering when the service providers are really going to have at the scammers and block them.

Recorded/computer generated female voice saying this was a call from the National Broadband Network to advise that my internet was to be cut off today. Obvious scam call so I hung up.

Call centre voice, calls me up, asks for me by name, scumbag babbles on about travel and blah blah. Why the hell do these idiot scammers always have such thick accents? If I could have a decent conversation with these idiots I'd tell them why I would never listen to their crap and I would never give them my details. NO WAY, even if they say i've won a million rupees, It's all a lie and these callers are CRIMINALS. And how the hell is it possible for a fine website like reverseaustralia.com to be completely ignored by the ACMA, who regulate our phone services? They have the numbers of these criminals, why not DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?

It is a relentless plague. They call but never speak - and then call again and again, like utter halfwits.
Those who say that they simply block all the scammers' numbers are lucky. My phone will only save 30 blocked numbers, so every time there's another one to block, I have to unblock a previous one. I need to store at least a hundred numbers.
I don't answer calls from unknown numbers, and it would be a fine idea if no one else ever did either, otherwise this plague will never come to an end.
