Go to a Telstra Shop and buy a landline phone. Ask for a Telstra Call Guardian. Basically the person who rings you has to introduce themselves. Some people may back away as they will know this person who they are about to call will not put up with the bullsh*t. Therefore they don't even introduce themselves and therefore the phone does not ring out. Someone may ring you who you already know they have to introduce themselves. The phone will then ring out, a recording is there and just follow the prompts. 1 to accept, 2 to always accept, 3 or push block to block, 4 to send to answer phone. When accepting the call just say" hi" then they know you are there. I find it is a really good phone. I had years of unwanted phone even with a silent number and registering with Do Not Call Gov Au. Nothing but time wasters so that is how I solved it.

Caller: Didn't leave a message.

And that makes number 37 on my call blocked list. Looks like I now block ALL numbers beginning with 023. To hell with scammers and telemarketers. Thanks for this forum to find out who they are.

Agree with you, it cost me about $85 from memory and I haven't been bothered by calls since!

It was a female voice claiming that she calls on behalf of 4 Charities. I replied: I am not interested good bye. She is now keep on calling and I wont take the call anymore. She knows my surname ( may be through whitepages). She is very likely to be scammer who wants to access private details of people.

Have just changed my number to a silent one and I have already received 3 calls from these waste of timers. Don't bother reporting to your telephone service provider as they do nothing about anything! Maybe provider is the one giving my number out? It must be worth money to them.

Rings at least 3 times a day for the last several weeks. Do not respond when you answer. Reporting this lot to the phone provider a waste of time as they say its not their problem
