Recorded message claiming to be Origin. This number has rung my deceased father’s phone number approx 6 times a day, every day for the past 6 months! I rang Origin to complain about their insensitivity as it triggers our grief every time they call but they vehemently deny that this is their number and advise it must be a scam/spam caller. Having read a few comments on this website I’m inclined to believe it might be Origin after all !

This number is a legitimate origin number, so the comments saying they were being contacted for an overdue bill are correct, but so are the other comments. Scammers use real numbers to fool you into thinking what they are trying to get you to do is legit. It's called "spoofing".
I won't talk to a robot either, if they want to call me they can get a human to do it.

So I answered the call. Its was Origin chasing my over due account. No suitable option to press, so sent to a "person" but only onto the on hold call queue, waitied for over 10 mins. f*ck em, they called me, I'm not waiting on hold for them

Answering this call, get a robo voice "This is a call from Origin Energy, please press 1 to continue"
It may or may not be Origin, safest to block it

Might be Origin, might not be. But I'm already on a payment plan with them, so why would Origin be trying to ring me? No message is ever left, so I won't return the call, as it's an unidentified number and I don't recognise it. Can't be too careful re spam calling these days.

Win Energy chasing overdue bill. Not spam or a scam. They are calling me because of my arrears with them. Probably why they are also calling you.

Going by other comments seems to be from Origin and I'm an Origin customer and my account is overdue but they have given me an extension to pay, so I'm not sure why they need to call me. It's very annoying

Leave a message if it is Origin, why would you not leave a message if it's money you chasing. Robots following instructions, just like monkey's
