Received a lead up of multiple texts with spam messages trying to claim I have outstanding bills. Today this number called twice, voicemail left with an automated message saying press one to continue…. I can only assume the scammers are desperate enough to keep trying. Original texts claim to be Origin, not Origin Energy, quoting account details and give a false call line. Wish they’d get a life and earn their keep like the rest of us decent humans. Bludging bastards

Caller: Origin energy This is origin energy's collection department. I'm behind on my electricity bill which I'm very sorry about. I hate being behind but I can't help it. I'm struggling with all my bills at the moment everything is hard. I don't mind if they just cut the electricity off. But I will still be charged anyway even if they stop supplying electricity. I've explained my situation to origin energy at least half a dozen times. They tell me they want to help and put me through to a call centre to set up a payment plan but I can never afford the plan. It goes around in circles. Origin Energy are by far the worst when it comes to outstanding bills. They call every day at least three times. Today they called 5 times. Nobody calls me more than origin energy they are my number 1 caller.

Caller: Origin Don't pick up. Origin energy is trying to sell and switch you over to their service. Very annoying.

This number called twice I didn’t answer. A voicemail was left which was an automated voice saying, “ to continue call press 1”

Caller: Claimed to be Origin Energy Received a sms saying I would get a call in the next 1 - 2 days. Received call today, automated call said I had missed a payment on my payment arrangement & was transferring it to an energy specialist. Considering my payment comes out bia Centre Pay from my Centrelink payment, it is impossible for me to miss a payment. I'm assuming it is a scam. I gave up waiting to tell them this after 15mins of been on hold & hung up

Caller: (02) 3813 8302 Although maybe not the same number, it's very similar - (02) 3813 8302. However, its behaviour matches with most of the other reviews, it called me twice on the same day but heard no voicemail. Most likely a scam call either way

Caller: Origin Answered as I have been getting calls all day. Automatic robot said to press one I hung up. Received also text messages addressed to unknown name in regards to over due account which I also don’t have anything over due so guessing it’s a scam.
