Don't hang up just waste their time. I was on the phone for 15mins going around in circles, just having fun while he got very frustrated. That is 15mins he was not trying to scam someone else.

one call a night for the last four... seems to come in an hour earlier each day.
They hang up as soon as we answer.

Silent number, and on the do not call register.

This guy called about a month ago and said he was from Telstra and my internet was compromised and it would be disconnected the next day. I said seriously do people actually fall for that crap. He hung up and now the number rings me everyday, sometimes up to 3 times in one day. I think it is just to piss me off as I called his bluff. Its so annoying

Same story. Rude and harassing and kept calling back. I’ve disconnected my land line. Not worth having.

3 times this week. No answer when I pick up so I hang up. Plus 2 x private caller - same thing. Bloody nuisances.

Got a call from this number with the exact spiel, "this is not a sales call, you have an issue with the security on you computer", hung up, they rang back so put phone next to TV.

This number is ringing at all hours of the day and night... Never leaves a message and when I answer it doesn't say anything. Then last night my son answered knowing it was a scam and wanted to get rid of them and they told him he was an idiot.. Who's the idiot? I'm on the do not call register and nothing stops them.. I've had enough!!!!

Same comments per Anonymous posts 22 March 2018. Indian accented lady purportedly from Telstra who uses assertive tone to feign serious internet IP intrusion. Made reference to keyboard Ctrl key as above poster mentioned. Hung up when request for her name and phone number was made.

She called a few days ago, said she was from Telstra blah blah blah.. I said I am not with Telstra, she said "it doesn't matter", I hung up. I know IT back to front (well, almost :)) So I get a call tonight around 8:40 pm and thought to play along. She took me along a path of spelling the Ctrl button etc, to open a terminal window and use command assoc, scroll to the end and she read the 3rd or 4th line from the bottom, in an effort to convince me that she was legitimate. She said this was my Licensing number for my broadband connection :) btw: this number is the same on all systems. I asked for my IP address :) she had no idea, Then asked me to open eventvwr (event viewer) and suggested all the DistributedCOM errors were the problems and she passed me to her supervisor for further "treatment", who proceeded to lead me to download Teamviewer (step by step) ha ha ha. A tech would then guide me to fix my problems. This error btw is common in Win10 upgraded machines and can be fixed easily. It does not affect the OS. I hung up. she called back aggressively asking why I hung up, I hung up again and she called 2 more times unanswered.
WARNING: Teamviewer gives them access to your computer.

Scammer claiming to be from Telstra Security in Sydney. She said my internet had issues and that it had been compromised and wasn't secure. She was trying to get remote access to my computer. I hung up.

Claimed they were from Telstra, and they said someone else was using my internet. I asked them if they knew my name, and he kept avoiding the question, and said I should feel ashamed! I kept asking until he answered with my initial and last name. He couldn't tell me my first name. He started yelling at me so I hung up. He rang two more times, but I didn't answer. I'm ringing Telstra to let them know.

Rang at 8pm and no one there when I answered. So much for the do not call register. Wish these oxygen thieves would disappear...

Keep getting calls from this number that is already known to be a scammer. Since I don't recognise it as anyone I know and have read reports of it being a scam I simply don't bother answering. One day I will answer an air horn in hand and blow it into the phone to see if it stops them calling
