A friend in NZ had a call from this number today. We have had a few of these calls over the years when we lived in WA. A whistle is quite effective - it took almost a year for them to dare to call back. I keep a whistle by the phone just these special people. In fact I think they may have called me twice today but I didn't answer the phone - I could hear lots of talking in the background when the answering machine came on.

They aren't just using this number, but also (02) 3000 0400 & (02) 3030 0011. They say they're from "Microsoft security" & some one was hacking my internet IP address. Told them they were lairs (change to a Mac 5 years ago) & they threatened to block my internet access. They are very aggressive & scary thing was they had some information that was accurate about 7 years ago, so could be convincing if I still used those details. Had the audacity to ring back & continue to threaten me a second time on the second number.

Call from 'microsoft'... I use a mac.

The "Microsoft help centre" scam has resurfaced! Incoming call when I burst out laughing, she threatened to block my computer! lol
