The calls from this number are coming from a Philippines-based company called My Charity Survey. Because they are an overseas based company, they are not legally bound by the terms of Australia's "do not call" register. They claim to be a legitimate company conducting surveys on behalf of charities, whilst the company is not actually a charity itself. They've been calling me regularly for quite some time now & towards the end of last year, were calling as much as 3 to 4 times every 2 weeks, so I started to get tired of going through their surveys that frequently (3-4 times each 2 weeks). If it really is a legitimate survey, I fail to understand why they need to survey people as much as twice a week.

After I got tired of their so frequent surveys, in November last year (2017) I requested to "opt out" via their web site & received an email confirmation from them that they had "opted me out". But clearly their opt out procedures do not work, because just this morning I got another call from them wanting me to do their survey, & even when you tell them you're not interested in doing their survey, their staff are quite insistant & pushy. They eventually left me alone when I told them I had already opted out of their calls several months earlier. But in addition to this morning's call, I noticed several missed calls on my phone over the last few months, from that same number, so obviously this morning was not the only time they had called me since I supposedly opted out from their calls.

I'm beginning to think this organisation is running some kind of scam, or at least, is not a very reputable company, due to the way their callers are so pushy & insistant on the phone, & the fact that their opt out register clearly does not work. Supposedly if you indicate to them in their survey that you might possibly be interested in supporting any of the charities they mention, they then pass on your contact details to those charities, who then make contact with you directly. But honestly, these calls from MCS just put me completely off wanting to support any of the charities they mention, & I think MCS are dishonest about their survey results as well.

I've usually told them I'm not interested at all in supporting any of the charities they've mentioned, but still they seem to pass my contact details on to some charities, from whom I then receive calls. I've usually then advised those charities directly that they've been misled by the incorrect information which has been passed on to them from MCS, & have requested the charity itself to remove me from their marketing list.

I would suggest people try to block this number if they can.

who ever they are they call us at least 4 times a day - called blocked think they would give up but noooooooooooo!!!! and with 12 numbers it is not even an aussie number calling!!!!!!!!!

Buy a Telstra phone called the guardian.... You can block these annoying calls from this phone, look on eBay for them

Well who ever they are they are now blocked on my phone so it rings once and then hangs up on them!!!!!!!

This call went to my Telstra Messaging. The person at the other end clearly didn't realise they were speaking to voicemail, started reading their script, then went on - "Hello? Hello?" before ending the call.

Gave me a laugh, anyway. I don't answer calls from unfamiliar numbers, especially a number starting with 06

I purchased a Pro Call Blocker from Eb.., put caller id on my home phone about 8 mths ago, it's the best thing yet. Sometimes my phone will ring once or nothing at all. If I check, yep, sure enough, the number I had entered previously has been BLOCKED HA :)) You scammers !! I suggest to pay around the $50 mark. Yes, you will need to train and or start entering some scammers numbers in, you can even block certain area codes in like 0617 as these dead beats sometimes start changing their last numbers. But don't stress, if you see the caller ID start with 0617xxxx you can always come here to check the number, then press save on the Blocker, done ! That will fix em !!

Well I just got my first scammer or marketers call on my new iPhone which I have had for six weeks.I believe it happened because of using the google browser only once and immediately changed my browser back to Duck duck go which works via the safari browser so to lots of security against this crap that google is responsible for particularly worse in the past two years since google bought the android company and making them self The in built browser of every phone on the planet other than a apple phone.Google with their codes become administrator by default and they over ride anything including security and the security system of even the phone manurfactor’ track everything and I mean everything they plant unmoverble cookies ect and pass on all your info regardless of whether you have your phone number even listed in your google account for money to people who pay them for it!If you buy a android phone in order to set it up you have to give them permission to do what they like or else the phone won’t work properly.So bottom line even though you have bought the phone and another company made the phone neither of you own or have control or a right to privacy because of the Americans allowing google to buy a company that being android which allows them to have a monopoly.It shouldn’t have been allowed but it is what it is.Google even over rides even Apple and Microsoft by changing the industry standard code by putting it in plain English so the Pershing system and server treat it like a message or standard sms and then once there in they plant their cookies so as they have a in and out gate in order to covertly track Microsoft browsers and Apple.Why?in order to sell the info to make money.In order for all this to stop the Americans competition regulaters to change the law!But with the likes of Donald trump as their President and all the tax that the Americans are getting I can’t see that happening soon.Google doesn’t pay tax anywhere else so the Americans are treating everybody else on the planet like suckers!That we are as long as we use the likes of google’facebook’snap chat’twitter’ ect ect!If you really want to stop a company like this from scamming you from over seas is to report them to ICANN by going to the site of icann to find out who the registra is and report them.However you can only deal with one at a time and even then they will re registra under another name.

Been annoying me several times a day for weeks, Saved their number in my landline's caller ID as " Scammer" so i know not to answer it ( Not that i do anyway)

i don't answer politely if i don't know the number but this number i say what and they hang up ... its a pain i cannot block the number on my phone

Persistant and annoying, just don't answer. They will keep ringing because it is robotic.

I suspect an attempt to enter private and banking info on your mobile.

Strange long phone number. First time they called they hung up on me when I answered. I tried to call the number back but got a message the number does not exist.
A few days later they called again. As soon as I heard the word charity, I made my excuses and hung up.
